S&V Workshops

The point of the S&V workshops is to create an environment where young people aged between 11 – 17 years can participate in learning new skills, socialising and integrating with other young people that they otherwise may not have the opportunity to meet.

There will be a selection of 3 workshops each lasting a total of 15 hours (3 hours each day for 5 days through the Summer Half Term 25th – 29th May 2009).

The Choices for the Workshops are as follows;

•Music Production Workshop ~ 12 – 15 young people will create a music track from scratch, producing the beat, lyrics, coming up with ideas for the creation of artwork for the final product

•Music Video Workshop ~ 12 – 15 young people will create a music video from scratch, building a storyboard, coming up with ideas on location, props, ideas for the artwork for final product.

•Dance Workshop ~ 12 – 15 young people will have the chance to either make a dance routine for the music video workshop group, or make their own short 10 minute video covering the issues relevant to them incorporating dance to get point across
